This group is about hiking and enjoying other activities together. We will go on hikes, picnics, restaurants, and more... If you like spending time outdoors and want to meet new people in a friendly relaxed environment, this group is for you. There are no fees associated with these events. A mandatory charitable donation may be requested. This group is not affiliated with any business or organization.

Let's visit the iconic Aescher cliff restaurant in the Appenzell mountain region.
Berggasthaus Aescher-Wildkirchli : Appenzellerland TourismThis is a circular hike starting at the train station, around the lake and up to the famous Aescher cliff house. We will have a picnic lunch along the way. There is the option of taking the gondola down or hiking it down.
Length: 13 km
Ascents/Descents: 1000 m up/880 down or gondola down
Hiking time: 4-5 h
Fitness level: intermediate/advanced
