Using WooCommerce Blocks

Details
While everyone is talking about Gutenberg and the new block editor, WooCommerce is still using shortcodes such as [woocommerce_cart] and [woocommerce_checkout]. Wouldn’t it be great if WooCommerce would utilise blocks as well? As a matter of fact, WooCommerce started doing this with WooCommerce Blocks on April 24, 2018. Since the release of WooCommerce 6.9.0 in September, shortcodes will still work, but will no longer be the default for the Cart and the Checkout page.
This presentation will be given by Niels Lange. Niels works as a JavaScript Engineer for Automattic and is part of the team that develops and maintains the WooCommerce Blocks. He was born in Germany, lived in the Netherlands for several years and since mid-2014 he’s been living in Indonesia, where he fights bugs between palm trees and rice fields. While he truly enjoys Asian food, occasionally he’s craving for a proper Swiss Fondue.
The presentation is mainly directed towards WooCommerce users, but Niels is also happy to answer any developer questions that may arise to his best ability.
Since Niels is joining us from Jakarta, this meetup will take place at 4pm CET.
