Unleash your inner star at Zurich’s English Performing Arts hub! From acting, improv, comedy writing… to Broadway-style classes, there’s a stage for everyone at Close Encounters Theatre.

Close Encounters Theatre is Zurich’s premier English-speaking performing arts academy, offering dynamic acting, singing, dancing, comedy writing, learning german, improv classes and more for children, youth, and adults — from beginners to experienced performers.
We host live shows and community events like open-stage nights, improv jams, and variety performances, creating a vibrant creative hub for expression, connection, and fun. In addition to training and productions, CET also offers corporate workshops and private coaching that use theatre techniques to build confidence, communication, presentation skills, and team cohesion.

We want to help people grow creatively and personally through performance arts in a supportive, playful environment.
