Day Trip to Stoos and Brunnen

Join us for an extraordinary day trip to the magnificent Stoos. Known as the most beautiful hike in Switzerland!

The admin team will be taking you on the following route:

• Start the day by riding the steepest funicular in the world (Schwyz - Stoos)
• Take the gondola (Stoos - Klingestock) to trail #83 and hike along the cliffs overlooking the Alps and 10 different mountain lakes
• Stop for a picnic halfway through
• At the end of the hike, take the gondola back down to Stoos (Fronalpstock - Stoos), where we can get ice cream and do some quick sightseeing around the village (if time permits) before taking the funicular back to Schwyz
• The bus will pick us up from the Schwyz funicular station & take us to Brunnen to wrap up the day
• We will hang out at the badi in Brunnen (free of charge) and take a dip on the beautiful Lake Lucerne before returning to Zurich

Please note this is a moderate hike and only suited to those who are not afraid of heights. We will walk along narrow cliffs with lots of stairs, ups/downs, and switchbacks. Secure hiking shoes are a must (no sneakers). Hiking experience & good physical condition is highly encouraged. Please have breakfast before the hike so you are not walking on an empty stomach.

As always, you are welcome to plan your own route instead of taking the admin one. Just ensure to make your way to Brunnen in time for departure (exact bus location/departure time will be shared on the Whatsapp Chat on event day)

What to bring:

• Hiking shoes (required)
• Stoos Peak Experience ticket (required; please purchase in advance or during the bus ride)
• Bathing suit/towel in case you would like to go swimming (changing rooms available at the badi)
• Suncream
• Water (1.5 liter minimum)
• Appropriate clothing and hat based on the weather forecast
• Packed lunch (bring with you on the hike; we will stop to eat halfway through it)
• Beverages (you can leave those on the bus during the hike and grab them on the way to the lake/badi)
