Rigidalstock - Brunni Ferrata Together

A via ferrata is a protected, fixed-cable climbing route that allows people to traverse steep or difficult rocky terrain safely. These routes incorporate steel cables, rungs, ladders, and bridges, which serve as both climbing aids and continuous anchors for a special via ferrata safety set to clip into, blending the experience of hiking and rock climbing.

Last year we struggle in winter time to catch the last cable car, summer time will be better, and we will start early so we have time to jump in the small lake too (optional, weather and temperature dependent)

We plan to do

• The Via Ferrata Brunnistöckli (https://brunni.ch/60/en/brunnistockli) a K2 if there are beginners that want to learn the basics.
• Then go to the Klettersteig Rigidalstock (https://brunni.ch/62/en/rigidalstockridge-and-face) a K3

Both are ideal for beginners.

Weather can cancel the event a few days before if weather is not perfect for execution!

There is no transport organised, no Bus.

You can use your car or travel with the organiser Cédric Walter from Zürich HB, meeting up below the Blue Engel at 6:50 sharp

The recommended train is the 7:10 in Zürich HB -> Engelberg, Brunnibahn. 20 CHF HalbTax one way

Costs:
You'll have to pay for:

• Transport by train to Engelberg or you organise your own transportation
• The first cable car (is free with a General abonnement, discounted with HalbTax) & the chairlift, see https://brunni.ch/en/detail/prices-single-and-returntickets

Renting Equipment (+20 CHF)

• The via ferrata set (incl. helmet and harness) can be reserved in advance either by using the form below, by telephone (041 639 60 60) or by e-mail (info@brunni.ch). You have to leave a valid ID
• The via ferrata sets can be obtained at the Kräuterhütte https://brunni.ch/22/de/krauterhutte at the Härzlisee.
• The Kräuterhütte close EARLY than 17:00, your ID is then move to the restaurant beside the Kräuterhütte, you can give the helmet and harness and get your ID there
• If the set is not collected one hour after the requested reservation time, the Brunni-Bahnen reserve the right to release the equipment in case of increased demand, but your ID will stay at the top of the hill, and need to be sent per post.
• We have to get enough time buffer to catch the cable car
