Join us for opening night of Zurich Design Weeks 2026. This year's festival runs under the theme “OUT OF…”, challenging creators to step beyond default solutions across product, tech, and spatial design.
We'll kick off the evening together at Design Zentrale inside the Swiss Design Lounge at Museum für Gestaltung. It’s the central nervous system of the entire festival, featuring curated projects from five emerging Newcomer designers, interactive installations, and a retrospective on playful interaction pioneer Isao Hosoe.
Whether you work in design, code, engineering, or simply love discovering creative scenes in the city, this is an easy, low-pressure way to explore the exhibits and meet other locals and internationals living in Zurich.

### Plan for the Evening

• 17:55 – 18:10 | Meet & Greet: Meet outside the main entrance of Museum für Gestaltung (Ausstellungsstrasse 60). Look out for our group by the entrance plaza.
• 18:10 – 19:30 | Explore Design Zentrale: Head inside for the official exhibition vernissage. Check out the Newcomer prototypes, grab festival maps and explore the installations.
• 19:30 onwards | Kreis 5 Studio Hop & Drinks: Let's Grab a beer or drink at the museum café or wander into the surrounding Kreis 5 showroom circuit along Limmatstrasse and Geroldsareal for partner gallery openings and casual conversation.

### Good to Know

• Admission to the Design Zentrale vernissage is completely free.
• Coming solo? Most attendees do, I will run quick introductions so everyone will feel immediately comfortable to wander through the galleries with our mates.
• If you arrive late, post in the event chat to find our location inside the lounge.
