WebRTC on Google Glass & Rebound for Android

Details

Our April meetup opens with a short talk from Matt Wear on making beautiful springy animations on Android with the Facebook Rebound library. He'll walk through a few examples of scaling, rotation and translation animations and share his recent experience using Rebound to create "Skittles" menus in Evernote's Android clients. Here is a quick video demo of "Skittles": http://goo.gl/O5kqHb

The main presentation is about WebRTC on Google Glass. The developers from Pristine will show how they built a Google Glass based communication platform for healthcare in two months, from concept to MVP. They'll cover the technical challenges associated with using WebRTC in applications on Google Glass and Android devices.

The goal is to provide the audience with a high level overview of WebRTC and some common challenges and pitfalls one faces while building Android applications that use WebRTC. You should walk away with enough guidance to bootstrap a WebRTC-based Android client of your own.

Presenters:
Patrick Kolencherry, CTO at Pristine
Mark Troutfetter, VP Engineering at Pristine
Arik Yaacob, Senior Media Architect at Pristine
Aaron Alaniz, Mobile Software Engineer at Pristine
Rahul Behera, Mobile Software Engineer at Pristine
Danail Dimov, Senior Engineer, Android at Mutual Mobile
