About us
The Chicago Black Professionals Social Network is a community of individuals 21 and over in the Chicago area who share a connection to and appreciation for ethnic heritages rooted in the African diaspora. Founded in 2001, the group has been sustained and handed down from dedicated members over the decades, making it one of the longest-standing professional and social communities of its kind in Chicago.
Our members represent a wide range of educational, professional, and social backgrounds, but we share a common goal: to come together for social networking, professional growth, and community building.
We strive to create an environment that fosters authentic connections, meaningful conversations, and a healthy exchange of ideas, enriching the personal and professional lives of our members. Our group values professionalism, respect, and a drama-free atmosphere where everyone feels welcome.
Please note: our events are intended for adults 21 and older, unless otherwise specified in the event description or comments.
Advertising: this is defined as one or more of the following criteria: 1) a business you have a direct financial interest in; 2) a service you deliver for money; 3) another Meetup group.
Any postings that fit the Advertiser's criteria should be messaged to the organizers of the group. Any messages of this nature not sent to an organizer first will be subject to the following:
1st time - Message deleted, first warning email
2nd time - Message deleted, final warning email
3rd time - Message deleted, membership deleted. Only email sent will be the removal notification.
Organizations that are 501(c)3 and have proper documentation are exempt from this policy and may post messages in the General Discussion forum. Marketing for volunteer/charity events is also generally exempt from this policy. Please get in touch with the Organizer before posting.

Dinner, Frights & After-Hours Fun at Midnight Terror!

- Group Rate ($38 each): If we hit our 15-person minimum by October 16th, I will post my Zelle info on 10/16. You will need to Zelle me your $38 by October 17th so I can secure our group Fast Pass bundle! (Fast turnaround, so keep an eye out).
- Individual Rate ($56 each): If we don't hit the 15-person mark by October 16th, everyone will need to purchase their own individual Fast Pass ($56) directly through the Midnight Terror website.
Who’s ready to face some serious scares and test our nerves this fall? We’re putting together a group to hit up Midnight Terror Haunted House down in Oak Lawn on Saturday, October 24th, and it’s going to be an absolute blast. You can check out the house and all the details on their official website.
We’re aiming for the 7:00 PM slot, and because weekend lines in October get wild, we are locking down Fast Passes so we can skip the crazy wait times.
#### 🗓️ The Game Plan:
- 4:45 PM – Pre-Game Dinner: We’ll kick things off with great food and drinks right down the street at Paisans Pizzeria (4900 W. 111th St., Oak Lawn). Come ready to eat, catch up, and get our courage up before things get spooky.
- 6:45 PM – Haunt Time: We’ll cruise over together to Midnight Terror (5520 W. 111th St.) to flash our Fast Passes. The immersive walk-through is a massive, sprawling single compound that takes about 20 to 25 minutes of solid scares to complete.
- Post-Haunt Option – Keep the Night Going: Once we survive the haunt, the night doesn't have to end! We can hang back on-site to check out Black Oak Axe Throwing or try our hand at their mini escape games for some extra laughs and friendly competition.

- RSVP and drop a comment below to lock in your spot so we can track our headcount.
- On October 16th, check back here for my Zelle info and to see if we hit our 15-person group minimum.
- If we hit the minimum, Zelle me $38 by October 17th so I can buy the group bundle. If we don't hit 15 by then, go ahead and grab your own individual Fast Pass ($56) right on their site for the 7:00 PM slot.
