About us
The Chicago Black Professionals Social Network is a community of individuals 21 and over in the Chicago area who share a connection to and appreciation for ethnic heritages rooted in the African diaspora. Founded in 2001, the group has been sustained and handed down from dedicated members over the decades, making it one of the longest-standing professional and social communities of its kind in Chicago.
Our members represent a wide range of educational, professional, and social backgrounds, but we share a common goal: to come together for social networking, professional growth, and community building.
We strive to create an environment that fosters authentic connections, meaningful conversations, and a healthy exchange of ideas, enriching the personal and professional lives of our members. Our group values professionalism, respect, and a drama-free atmosphere where everyone feels welcome.
Please note: our events are intended for adults 21 and older, unless otherwise specified in the event description or comments.

Join us in celebrating with both our new and old CBPSN friends! Please bring your beach or park games, chairs or blankets, and food or beverages. Since this is a potluck-style gathering, we ask that everyone contribute something. If you're unable to bring a dish, we can arrange for a donation. We will be there until at least 6 PM.
The picnic officially begins at Noon, but feel free to come out early with your blankets and chairs, and pick out a great spot in the park for the entire day! We also need volunteers for the set-up and clean-up crew, and they will be expected to arrive at 11:00 am to reserve our picnic location.
We will be set up in Rainbow Beach Park, approximately half a block south of 75th Street. There is a parking lot accessible when you enter the park from 79th Street, but finding a space on the street, closer to or on 75th Street, will result in a shorter walk.
Please indicate what you are bringing in the comments. Please save the comments for coordination and supplies communication only! We'd like to have a variety of food and plan our celebration properly!
Weather permitting. The following weekends will be used as backup.
Use the discussion board for everything else.
https://www.meetup.com/312blackprofessionals/discussions/We also want to have board games and activity tables for those who wish to play cards and other games.
Adult beverages will be available; please ensure that any guests under 21 years of age are appropriately supervised. Additionally, please note that pets are not permitted unless they are service animals.
Last but not least, donโt forget your mosquito spray and sunblock lotion!
