Bear Mountain Hike and Skate

Details
Just an hour north of Long Island lies a 5,000-acre playground filled with all sorts of activities for folks who love to play in the outdoors. Join us for a classic 5-mile hike to Perkins Tower on top of Bear Mountain (1,284'). The scenic yet rugged trail leads to some spectacular views overlooking the Hudson Valley. We'll take a short break on the summit to catch our breath, admire the spectacular views and grab a well deserved snack. After looping back down, we'll change out of our hiking shoes and enjoy an ice skating session on the park's rustic outdoor rink. There's even a small zoo and a merry-go-round nearby that we'll check out if time permits.
Cost: $39 ($34 for additional immediate family members) includes guided hike, skate rental and admission to rink and zoo.
This is an intermediate hike with a 1,200' elevation gain to Perkins Tower. All those attending should be in good health and physical condition. Hiking boots and trekking poles are recommended but not mandatory.
Space is limited, so please register early and make payment online to secure a spot.
