Over the year 2016 we will be holding monthly meetups for the "2016 Artwork Challenge".

Every month will have a different theme. We will schedule a meetup that month to work on that piece at various locations all over Alameda.

This coming month: January Theme: Music

This is a broad subject. So many ways to interpret music onto canvas. Maybe a song or artist that inspires you. Dancing... singing... a scene from your favorite musical, an instrument or band. It could be a concert that inspired you, a person or memory that a particular song reminds you of. It could literally be the abstract feeling you get from listening to certain music. Try redesigning your favorite artist's cd cover art. The possibilities are endless. Be creative!

Below is an example of some artwork inspired by music:

Florence and the Machine: Ship To Wreck
I can't help but pull the earth around me, to make my bed
