Talk: Secrets of Kano Model
A significant part of functionality in software systems is never or rarely used. This means not only putting extra burden on the users making the application more complex to learn and use but also spending efforts on developing and maintaining functionality that brings no customer value.
We will talk about Kano Model, the method of Feature prioritization that helps to filter the unnecessary functionality out before actually designing or building it. The talk will be interesting and useful both for people who do not know yet about Kano approach and the ones already familiar with it. The speaker will share some practical secrets that make this method more effective.
Speaker: Gena Drahun
Gena Drahun (https://www.linkedin.com/in/hienadzdrahun) is an Interaction Designer for Perceptive Software from Lexmark. Born in Minsk, Belarus, he graduated from the User System Interaction program at TU/e and also has background in Physics and Economics. He collects UX diagrams (http://www.slideshare.net/Hienadz.Drahun/50-visual-definitions-of-user-experience) and co-curates the largest Facebook group of Russian-speaking UX designers (https://www.facebook.com/login.php?next=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fgroups%2Fpdigest%2F).
Gena is practicing interaction design and information architecture since 2002. He designed web sites and applications for such clients as Alianz, Expedia, KPN, Lufthansa, Microsoft, Philips, SAP, SNS Bank and NXP Semiconductors. He created the original interaction designs for the award-winning game “World of Tanks”.
