I know all of you were jocks and cheerleaders in high school so you don't understand how it feels to be a nerd. No worries. Now you have the opportunity to experience it firsthand at the upcoming Nerd and Geek Party. We will have a game to help you mingle and meet new friends. We will also have a DJ that helps you get in the mood... of being nerdy. :)
I figured I can announce this event far in advance so you can begin searching for that perfect outfit that you always wanted to wear in high school but was too cool to wear! Don't worry. High school is far behind us. I swear I won't judge you, laugh in your face, call you a nerd or yank your backpack as you run to class.
We will once again host this event at the beautiful House of Blues, Foundation Room in Hollywood. In case you didn't know, Foundation Room requires special membership; we have secured the location for our event! Also, did you know that many celebrities such as Jay-z and Beyonce occassionally wine and dine in this beautiful lounge? There are about 8 rooms in the Foundation Room. Explore each one. They are beautiful.
Cost: $15 cash at the door. This event is to support the nonprofit organization, Big City Mountaineers, that we selected earlier this year. In case you haven't see any increase in our fundraising amount, one of our friends and her firm will match what we fundraised so we are holdingon to everything and giving it to her at the end. Ultimately, we have to fundraise $3,400 per person. If we don't reach our goal, we will pay the rest out of pocket. There are 4 of us, which means we have to raise $13,600 between the three of us. There is a chance one more might add on. We appreciate all of your support.

Parking: There are valet parking at House of Blues or you can find cheaper parking in the nearby area. There is a parking lot about two blocks west on Sunset. Give that a shot. If not, park across the street at the hotel.
This event is crossposted on over 10 meetup groups with Mix Professional Singles with Fun Events as the main meetup group (www.MixProfessionals.com). Most of the attendees will probably not be Asian. All cool nerds welcome!
