The LA Marathon is on March 9, 2014 and I'm doing weekly training for it. It's my first marathon, and I'm inviting any one who wants to get together for running. We don't necessarily have to stay on the same pace or stay with each other. I figure pre-run stretching, encouragement, advice, etc and maybe a meal afterwards. I'm open to ideas about it.
I only scheduled it for an early time to get our bodies ready for the 7:30 start of the marathon (which falls on the day our clocks spring forward). I'm not necessarily set on the times and am open to moving it around once in a while. Just send me an e-mail and we'll work things out.
My long runs are scheduled for Sundays because the marathon will fall on a Sunday. I'm also running short runs around the Little Tokyo area early mornings during the week and Saturdays that any one is more than welcomed to join.
Experienced or beginners are welcome. I've only ran a 5k and a half marathon, but my goal for the marathon is 4 hours or less. This week's long run is 20 miles. Come on out and let's get in marathon shape!
