PhoneGap and Legos / Meteor.JS

This month, we'll again have a beginners session to kick us off. After that, we have two main presentations.

Presentation #1: How to build a remote control for a Lego NXT robot using phonegap

Along the way you will learn: the basics of phonegap, how to use several powerful community plugins, and how to create your own custom plugins for the community.

Matthew Ronemous is a Software Architect at BlueFletch mobile consulting.  A robotic tinker and web technology seeker.  He enjoys a great cup of coffee and campfires with his kids.

Presentation #2: Meteor.JS

Meteor is an open-source platform for building top-quality web apps in a fraction of the time. It excels at real-time applications such as real-time collaboration tools and games and is an "isomorphic JavaScript" platform.

Robert Persaud is lead technical developer at Kennesaw State University. He also runs Meteor Atlanta (http://www.meetup.com/Meteor-Atlanta/) which you should definitely check out if you are interested in Meteor.JS.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
