What we’re about
Success Cohort is a monthly program for connections, contacts, and knowledge from the Business Success Center (BSC) and its BSC Practical MBA™ free programs.
Each month, we host a program to encourage attendees to get to know each other and to meet with larger businesses, government agencies, and others to learn about opportunities of all kinds. Our goal is to make each business more successful and profitable.
Currently, we are not hosting in person meetings. Instead we host our monthly BSC Success Global Forum™ and Lean Success Forum™ on the 1st Thursdays, 11-Noon Central, in conjunction with our other meetups, Success Lab Meetup and Solopreneurs Growth Support Meetup.
Forum discussions are led by a guest mentor and attendees. The BSC Forums attract mentors and attendees from around the country, sometimes globally, and of course, in the Austin area as well as throughout Texas. We also offer monthly Wisdom Webinars and Work Sessions on the 3rd Thursday s, 11-Noon Central, to provide practical advice from attendees as well as Dr. Triplett. Both of these are recorded and a link is provided to meetup members.
We believe in networking now and later. For those who register to attend, we also provide a list of attendees — even if you can't attend.
You might also enjoy. BOSS-Talks & Tools, a quarterly live interview with an inspiring entrepreneur and a discussion of a BSC favorite business tool. BOSS-Talks & Tools and these meetups are parts of the BSC Practical MBA program. (More info at www.ownersview.com).
Success Cohort group is highly interactive so bring your questions, requests, and your best advice to give to other business owners. Be prepared to share a recent success and your expertise at a BSC Forum™ or Wisdom Webinar & Work Session.
If you are interested in leading one of the online Forums as a guest mentor or interviewee BOSS-Talks, please contact me directly @ triplett@bscusa.com and put Forum Mentor (or BOSS-Talks Guest) in the subject line. I will contact you to discuss this further with you. This is your opportunity to blow your own horn.

You propose, help select the agenda, and introduce your topic at each BSC Lean Business Success Forum (1st Thursday of 1st two months of each quarter, 11am-noon Central).
At BSC's Lean Business Success Forum™ participants gather, build an agenda, and begin timed discussions. Conversations are directed and productive because the agenda is generated by those who show up.
The format is both easy to follow and effective. As the name suggests, it is all about being “Lean” (doing more with less) and uses the format of a “Forum” (issue-based open discussion). It is derived loosely from the Lean Coffee idea started in 2009 by Jim Benson and Jeremy Lightsmith in Seattle (https://leancoffee.org/) and ProductCampAustin (https://productcampaustin.org/). Attendees vote on what subjects to discuss at the meeting and lead the discussion.
Lean forum leaders: Dave Nave, Dave Nave and Associates (https://davenave.com), a Lean knowledge expert and Jan Triplett, Ph.D. BSC (https://ownersview.com), sustainability expert.
Be kind. Be safe. Be hopeful. Be positive. Be ready — with some help from your meetup friends.

BSC Mentoring Forum™ with Success Mentor Kate Amber, End Coercive Control USA, Identifying and Dealing with COERCIVE Control & Abuse in the Workplace
Ms. Kate Amber, MSc, Founder and CEO of ECCUSA located in Connecticut, makes the use of coercive control tactics transparent in the workplace, where some may abuse their power, leading to a hostile environment for everyone. Coercive control is not limited to harassment and overly abusive behaviors. It can be easily missed, misunderstood or mistaken as harmless or unintentional, and if taken out of context may result in reduced profitability, fines, or even prison. Unchecked, coercive control can result in abuse of an employee, manager, business owner, customer or vendor. This abuse can lead to mental distress, severe enough to cause job loss, extreme reduction in productivity, or even violence, PTSD or loss of life. Could you be a victim of coercive control in the workplace and not even know it? Could you unwittingly be contributing to coercive control tactics against others in meetings, online, etc.? Come and learn from the expert on what to watch out for and what to do if you see it, hear it, or experience it."
