About us
Success Cohort is a monthly program for connections, contacts, and knowledge from the Business Success Center (BSC) and its BSC Practical MBA™ free programs.
Each month, we host a program to encourage attendees to get to know each other and to meet with larger businesses, government agencies, and others to learn about opportunities of all kinds. Our goal is to make each business more successful and profitable.
Currently, we are not hosting in person meetings. Instead we host our monthly BSC Success Global Forum™ and Lean Success Forum™ on the 1st Thursdays, 11-Noon Central, in conjunction with our other meetups, Success Lab Meetup and Solopreneurs Growth Support Meetup.
Forum discussions are led by a guest mentor and attendees. The BSC Forums attract mentors and attendees from around the country, sometimes globally, and of course, in the Austin area as well as throughout Texas. We also offer monthly Wisdom Webinars and Work Sessions on the 3rd Thursday s, 11-Noon Central, to provide practical advice from attendees as well as Dr. Triplett. Both of these are recorded and a link is provided to meetup members.
We believe in networking now and later. For those who register to attend, we also provide a list of attendees — even if you can't attend.
You might also enjoy. BOSS-Talks & Tools, a quarterly live interview with an inspiring entrepreneur and a discussion of a BSC favorite business tool. BOSS-Talks & Tools and these meetups are parts of the BSC Practical MBA program. (More info at www.ownersview.com).
Success Cohort group is highly interactive so bring your questions, requests, and your best advice to give to other business owners. Be prepared to share a recent success and your expertise at a BSC Forum™ or Wisdom Webinar & Work Session.
If you are interested in leading one of the online Forums as a guest mentor or interviewee BOSS-Talks, please contact me directly @ triplett@bscusa.com and put Forum Mentor (or BOSS-Talks Guest) in the subject line. I will contact you to discuss this further with you. This is your opportunity to blow your own horn.

BSC's BOSS TALKS™ Mentoring Forum™
·OnlineOnline#### Aug. 6, 2026 11am-Noon Central BSC Mentoring Success Forum, with Jan Triplett, Ph.D., BSC (https://ownersview.com) on 104+ Ways to Fund your Business
Mentor Expert: Jan Triplett, Ph.D., BSC CEO, Forum Founder, and co-author Thinking Big Staying Small and The Networker’s Guide to Success.
Why take the 40K Foot Owner’s View? Because, you may have heard there are only a limited number of ways to fund a business: debt (loans) and equity (giving away the farm). Not so.
There are over a hundred LEGAL ways to get what you need for your business but you have to think differently.
Join the discussion about the eight other major options which have tons of sub-options. The goal is to get you to think like an owner and investor, not a manager or employee.
With that in mind, Dr. Triplett will also talk briefly about some things to consider if you are going the investor route or want to be an investor.
Plus Shawn Larson, ETX Hometown Media, will also share a marketing tech tip.

There are over 100 work arounds and alternatives. Not all 104+ ways work for any business, but many do. Dr. Jan Triplett, CEO of the Business Success Center and Forum Founder will share them all on August 6 at 11am Central online at the BSC Mentoring Forum.About the speaker:
For years, Dr. Jan Triplett has been speaking about how to fund a business to chambers, at government sponsored events, conducted workshops at professional, industry, and entrepreneurial groups of all kinds, and even used it as part of an assignment to her MBA students as an Adjunct Professor.
She has also applied that knowledge and used it with clients of all kinds in all kinds of situations. Not everyone got funding, but they all got on a path to get what they needed to grow their business.
Dr. Triplett will share her updated information in an open discussion at the BSC Mentoring Forum online on August 6 at 11am Central. Don’t miss this session. Bring your questions and personal experience with the ways you tried and/or succeeded in accomplishing your goals.
You can help Dr. Triplett grow the number of potential funding options with ideas from attendees. Her current goal: get up to 110 options because each one might help someone. RSVP today. Seating is limited so everyone can speak.
If you would like to schedule a private consultation with Dr. Triplett to discuss funding, please email Marsha Teague at marsha@ownersview.com to set it up.

At BSC's Lean Management Forum™ participants gather, build an agenda, and begin timed discussions. Conversations are directed and productive because the agenda is generated by those who show up.
The format is both easy to follow and effective. As the name suggests, it is all about being “Lean” (doing more with less) and uses the format of a “Forum” (issue-based open discussion). It is derived loosely from the Lean Coffee idea started in 2009 by Jim Benson and Jeremy Lightsmith in Seattle (https://leancoffee.org/) and ProductCampAustin (https://productcampaustin.org/). Attendees vote on what subjects to discuss at the meeting and lead the discussion.
