Hike and car pool details:

7 miles, 1000 ft elev gain, New and prospective members are especially invited. This will be a moderate hike at an easy pace in the rolling hills of one of the most recent additions to the Santa Clara County Parks System. Get to know the Guadalupe Regional Group, Loma Prieta Chapter and Sierra Club. Bring lunch, water, and hiking boots. We will be meeting at 10:00 AM at the Mendoza entrance off of Roop Road in Gilroy. Mendoza Ranch Entrance- From U.S. Highway 101 in Gilroy, take the Leavesley Road exit. Proceed east on Leavesley Road 2 miles to New Avenue. Proceed north on New Avenue .5 miles to Roop Road. Proceed east on Roop Road 3 miles into the foothills. Turn left into the park. Car pool location: 9:00 AM at Los Gatos Municipal Parking Lot (Highway 9 between University Ave & Santa Cruz Ave, behind Chase bank).
