What we’re about
This is a group for anyone who has the desire to explore the many "rails to trails" bike paths and/or other more leisurely bike routes (weekdays, weeknights, and weekends) with a nice group of friends within a reasonable driving distance of the Southern Chester County/Wilmington/Philadelphia base area. Bike pace might vary according to terrain, but basically a nice leisurely safe pace where we can get some great photos or just picnic for a while. Some of these rides include the Schuylkill River Trail (Philadelphia), Perkiomen Trail (Oaks), New Hope area trails, Heritage Rail Trail (York), Struble Trail ( Downingtown ). All members will be able to suggest rides they wish to do by using the suggestion area on the group site. We will also do trips to central and western PA which have many incredible rails to trails rides as well. There will also be weekend bike riding adventures. Some of these include the C&O Canal, Pine Creek Rail Trail (Wellsboro ), and Greenbrier River Trail ( WV ). These will involve bike camping and/or car camping. We will also meet on occasion to plan events and give members a chance to suggest rides they would like to do. Looking forward to meeting other people who are also outdoor biking enthusiasts.

Join your friends from the Lancaster and Willington Club for a bicycle ride on the northernmost section of the Schuylkill River trail, the Bartram trail. We will meet at the trailhead Kernersville Dam Road, Hamburg by 11am.
We will ride the trail north, across the new bridge to Auburn. At this time of the year the 100s of Rhododendrons may be starting to bloom. Also we may see many hawks and Eagles. The trail is crushed gravel. Hybrid or gravel bike recommended. Like always helmets are required. Please have a tube so someone can fix your flat. This is a casual ride. Please do not go on this ride unless you will stay with the group. No one left behind.
Afterwards we will decide as a group for those who would like to go out to eat.
