With the generous help of Gary, we're adding something new - midweek daytime sessions for those who find the weekends tricky!

Join us for our first outing to draw around the West Cambridge site - the home of physical sciences for Cambridge University. It includes the famous Cavendish Laboratory, Schlumberger research centre, William Gates building, and much more. Whilst we won't be going inside, these provide some great modern buildings to draw in contrast to Cambridge's more historical centre.

We'll meet at 1pm outside the entrance to the Scholars Brew (formerly the West Cafe) and then disperse to draw whatever takes our fancy. At 3pm we'll meet back to share our work and take a group photo. After that, we'll head into the cafe for drinks, cake, and socialising.

Please note that there is no public parking at the West Cambridge Site, but it is well served by public transport.

The event is free but does not include food, drink, or art materials. Everyone is welcome whether you've just started to draw or have been a professional artist for many years. We look forward to seeing you there.

Join us for some regular social sketching at The Artyst café. No experience necessary!

Bring your own work, inspiring objects, or just draw what you see — there are no rules. Café sketching is an ideal opportunity to practice drawing moving people so you might be the subject of a drawing or two!

Materials are not provided. The event is free, but please consider buying a drink or more to support the generous use of the venue.

Join us for Sketch & Social, our monthly creative meet-up in and around Cambridge, as we celebrate March—world book day—by drawing our favourite book covers!
Bring a copy of your favourite book and sketch an alternative cover based on how you see the book. This session is about celebration the world of books & having some creative fun.

No prior art experience needed—just a sketchbook, drawing tools, and an open mind.

Next month's urban sketching is at the Cambridge Museum of Technology. Built in 1894 as Cambridge's sewage pumping station, it now is a museum showing off the amazing victorian steam-powered industrial engineering. If that's not your thing, it sits next to the river and the elegant Equiano bridge, giving plenty of beautiful subjects to draw.

Please note you'll need to buy a ticket to go inside the museum and draw the machinery. But it will be National Lottery Open Week which gives you free admission to the Museum with a National Lottery ticket.

We'll meet out front at 11am and draw until 1pm when we'll meet back at the entrance to share our work and take a group photo. After that we'll head to the cafe for lunch, coffee, and socialising.
