San Jose Obrero Mission is a haven for women and children or men in crisis as they strive to secure permanent housing and improve their lives for the long-term. Their individualized approach equips clients with the tools needed to gain lasting independence. By providing safe, interim housing, vocational training and job placement assistance, life skills training and basic nutritional, clothing, medical and hygienic support, SJOM gives its clients the tools to stay off the streets for good. Participants are empowered to take charge of their lives, gain permanent housing and gain lasting independence. http://www.sjom.org

ATTENTION: This is a very busy event and there will be no kitchen staff on that day. This is a completely volunteer supported event. We really depends on ALL volunteers to show up if they RSVP. Please only RSVP if you are serious about your commitment date and time. I understand that personal emergencies can come up. If you have an unexpected change in your schedule, and need to cancel, please change your RSVP status to NO as soon as possible, so your spot can be free up and give other volunteers enough time to plan their schedule and sign up. Don't wait until the last minute to cancel as that will hurt the project by leaving it short handed. Thank you.
