Joint Screening With Chicago Dr. Who Group: DR WHO AND THE DALEKS

Or, if you didn't demand anything, rest assured it was demanded, and be sure to thank those from whom the demanding was demanded, because I promise it was demanded by someone: Dr. Who and the Daleks!

Now, personally, I'm relatively new to Dr. Who, but near as I can tell, "Dr. Who and the Daleks" is what happens when someone is tasked with making a movie about Dr. Who, and is told absolutely nothing about who (or Who) Dr. Who is. Which, naturally, sounds right up Mike, Bill and Kevin's alley, and ours.

This will be a joint screening with the Dr. Who Meetup Group (https://www.meetup.com/drwho-111/), and as they were, so will you be invited to cosplay if you see fit. If you don't, you'll be in good company, because I won't be, but if you're inclined to make fun of cosplayers, leave that at home, please. Also, we're hosting this event on multiple spaces, so please, only RSVP once.

Now for the regular schpiel: We meet at the Irish American Heritage Center in the Fifth Province, the center’s pub located on the first floor (look for a group of folks wearing name badges). Sometimes there will be an event charging money at the door; that's not us. You're welcome to walk past them and come find us. The evening starts at 6:00p for dinner/drinks in the pub (menu consists of burgers, fish & chips, sandwiches, and Irish fare such as Sheperd's Pie). At around 7:30p, we go to the viewing room to watch the show. For those of you driving, the center offers plenty of free parking in its lot. If you still can't find us, go ahead and call or send me a text message at 815-535-3226 (after 6 PM on the day of only, please; there are several avenues to contact me every other day of the month).

I charge an event fee of $10 to help recoup costs for room rental, A/V equipment, the licensing fee for this screening and a personalized, preprinted name badge. If your guest(s) also would like a personalized preprinted name badge, please put his/her name into the comments section of your RSVP.
