What we're about

https://secure.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/d/6/8/e/600_474954926.jpeg

We're a group of Doctor Who fans who like to get together and meet and hang out, whether it's watching episodes of Doctor Who or hanging out around the city. Whether you first watched the British science fiction show on PBS or BBC America, we hold inclusive, accessible events for all Who fans.

Our Meetups are held around the city of Chicago. We hold screenings at Third Coast Comics, Omega Station, and LaCatrina Cafe. Think of this as a way to meet other Who fans and enjoy your favorite show!

You can also find us on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/ChicagoDrWhoMeetup), and we encourage members to become sponsors on Patreon (http://www.patreon.com/ChicagoDrWhoMeetup) to keep our meets free (and low-cost), accessible, and inclusive.

[VIRTUAL] Big Finish Listening Party - THE BUTCHER OF BRISBANE

Online event

What does that mean? Have we gone timey-wimey again?

Well, let's allow Big Finish to explain:

"Adopting the alias of Weng-Chiang, the 51st-century war criminal Magnus Greel will one day arrive in Victorian London by Time Cabinet – only to meet his doom, his plans undone by the Time Lord known as the Doctor.

The Doctor never believed he'd meet Greel again. But when a TARDIS trip to companion Tegan's hometown goes wrong, the Doctor ends up in the younger Greel's heyday – in a world on the brink of all-out war.

With the Doctor at the mercy of Greel's alien associate Findecker and his army of mutations, Tegan is about to learn just why they called Greel 'The Butcher of Brisbane'…"
