ChicagoRuby: Elmhurst - How Do I Build... ?

The "How Do I Build...?" format is somewhere between a hack night and a presentation.

The key question: "How do I build [X] in Ruby or Rails?" We might talk about the best shopping cart or calendar or whatever for Rails. We might talk about the best way to do database maintenance with Ruby, or the best tools for organizing Ruby or Rails development.

Every ChicagoRuby member is invited to drive. Let the group know what you want to do, what you've tried, and what would be interesting to you. Let's put our heads together and create!

Lunch After the Meeting
After most meetings, we go to lunch at the Elmhurst Restaurant, roughly two blocks NW of the meeting venue. Address: 441 West Lake Street, Elmhurst, IL 60126. Join us!

Marty Lavin gave a 20 minute demo on the Ruby gem Tinymce. Tinymce is a minimal html editor, think of it a mini word processor. It can be installed into any form field in rails. It is simple to setup and use. It makes writing a review or comments much easier.
Ray Hightower gave us an update on Rubymotion and other interesting computer topics, Evernote etc. Informal discussions on many topics. After the meeting, Seven of us went to the Elmhurst Family Restaraunt for lunch and more geek talk. Many newbies at this meeting, and of course they were welomed and inspired.

Looking to catch up on everyone's progress. I haven't attended in a while, since the last time, I joined Tealeaf Academy to build Ruby/Rails Web Apps
