The Intuitionist

Details
This month's selection is The Intuitionist (1999) by Colson Whitehead.
Plot summary (from Amazon): Colson Whitehead's The Intuitionist wowed critics and readers everywhere and marked the debut of an important American writer. This marvellously inventive, genre-bending, noir-inflected novel, set in the curious world of elevator inspection, portrays a universe parallel to our own, where matters of morality, politics, and race reveal unexpected ironies.
Our location: We meet at Mystic Celt, a place that serves food and drink. This is an experimental new location, we will see if we like it! We will probably be in the back room.
Future book selection: ideas are welcome. Criteria for books: has a science fiction theme, is from the 19th or 20th Century, and preferably under 500 pages (for us busy, slower readers).
Please be respectful of the group and your humble organizer by keeping RSVPs up-to-date. No-shows are no fun, so please don't be one, if you can help it. If you have two no-shows, you will be removed from the group.
