Are you full-figured, looking to get into shape and interested in making new female friends?
Are you looking to develop a healthy self-concept, mentally, emotionally, and physically?
Do you believe in HAES (Healthy At Every Size)?
Curvy & Fit LA is a meetup group for plus-sized and curvy ladies that enjoy fitness activities such as walks on the beach, walks in local parks, running, volleyball, tennis, stairs and well as social events for hanging out, on a weekly and convenient basis.
If you aspire to get into shape and make new friends but also appreciate the beauty of or seek to develop self-love for your fuller figure, this is the group for you!
Share fitness goals, open up emotionally about body image ideals/struggles/perspectives, meet new and supportive exercise partners, share exercise tips, discuss cooking and food habits (including those who are vegan/vegetarian), and have fun socializing and getting to know down-to-earth and like-minded and bodied women through a variety of both casual social and fitness events.
This group is especially supportive of those recovering from or struggling with eating disorders including BED and COE (Binge Eating Disorder/Compulsive Overeating Disorder).
We'll have discussion periods where we can just sit and talk about these issues at certain meetups in quaint environments.
The goal for members of this group is not to be thin, obsessed, and self-penalizing, but to be healthy and fit at a fuller and natural size with a holistic state of self-love and embrace.
Please take note of the new anti-flake policy for this group. It will be strictly enforced.
Under each member’s name is a title section. By default, it is usually left blank by an organizer.
The system below is used to keep track of flaking:
This is fair and reasonable, certainly not draconian, because you get a couple of chances to flake.
And before you become a flake, you can always cancel an RSVP in a timely manner to avoid this and to further preserve your two "get out of jail free cards" for real emergencies.
If you voluntarily sign up to the group, thus becoming a member, which means you WANT to participate in upcoming events, then I figure you can certainly find ways to communicate with the group and its organizer(s) about the status of your RSVPs.
Consider the policy the group’s Selsun Blue.
New members must be approved by the Organizer

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
