An Evening with Visionary Roboticist Dr. Vijay Kumar (rescheduled)

This event encountered a last-minute confusion in scheduling that resulted in its postponement on February 12. We are incredibly sorry for the inconvenience this caused as many of you were already in transit to the venue. It has now been rescheduled for March 12, same time, same place. Light refreshments will be served. If you RSVP'ed for the previous event, you do not need to RSVP again. However, RSVP'ing will ensure that you receive future updates and event reminders as we get closer to March 12.

Special thanks to the Penn Alumni Club of DC for helping support this event.

Original event announcement:

We're partnering with the fantastic DC Area Drone User Group (http://www.meetup.com/DC-Area-Drone-User-Group/) to bring you an interactive talk with Dr. Vijay Kumar of Penn's GRASP Lab. He is also currently serving as the Associate Director for Robotics and Manufacturing at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy. You can check out his TED talk at http://www.ted.com/talks/vijay_kumar_robots_that_fly_and_cooperate.html.

Excellent presentation, and motivates you to learn more about machine learning. Loved that Dr. Kumar was able to engage both those with deep experience in robotics and machine learning, and those such as myself who are new to the field.

I assume the meeting is on Tuesday, March 12th and NOT Sunday, March 10th as indicated on one of the emails I received.
