Build a Drone workshop
Details Have you ever wanted to build a drone but you don't know where to start? In this 1 day workshop hosted by Teq Strategy at Nova Labs we will be providing everything you need to get you started in this amazing hobby! This workshop is your opportunity to build your own racing style quad copter capable of flying up to 50 MPH! This intensive workshop is designed for students who want a deeper understanding of how to assemble, build, program, troubleshoot and operate drones. We will walk you through each step of the build and no prior drone or soldering experience is required. The build includes a 130 sized quadcopter, brushless motors, LiPo battery, AC/DC charger and a FrSky QX7, 16 channel programmable transmitter. Registration for the class is $450 and in order to secure your slot you need to fill out the link below and pay the registration. Because of the hands on nature of the class we are limiting the number of participants and it is expected to fill up. So please register early and we look forward to seeing you in class! What we're about

The DC Area Drone User Group (DC DUG) is an organization for amateur and professional drone users that seeks to promote the responsible use of flying robots for community service, artistic, entrepreneurial, and recreational purposes. All experience levels are welcome. We get together as a community to share tips, experiences, and of course to do some flying. We work to educate ourselves about how to build and use drones in a safe and respectful manner and to educate the public about the positive role aerial robotics can play in our society. Most importantly, we think that flying robots are a lot of fun! DC DUG is a member of the Drone User Group Network (http://droneusergroup.net), an association of community organizations that promote the use of civilian drone technology for the benefit of humanity.
