Hi all,

I want to send this cool message from Dallas Luther, you may have met him at Vancouver Hackspace already. He is founding the new MakerLabs here, and invites us to an event tonight, the inaugural meetup at The Hive. He is quite intrigued by DIYBio and is interested in the possibility of bio projects on site.

Sorry, I haven't been able to get to my email earlier, apologies for the late messaging.

Cheers,

Michael

Hardware Start-ups Vancouver

Hey Michael, we are starting a hardware meetup that we think will be of interest to the DIY Bio crowd.

http://www.meetup.com/Hardware-Startups-Vancouver/

Is there a chance we could cross promote with your group? We'd love to work with you to grow the local scene of people working on physical products.

Would you be willing to promote to your members?

Our blurb is as follows:

You're invited to the inaugural meetup of Hardware Startups Vancouver, a group organized to build community around emerging local hardware entrepreneurs. If you're interested in starting a business based in physical goods, you've already started, or you want to learn more, please join us at 7:00pm on Wednesday, August 28 at The HiVE (128 West Hastings - Buzz 210 ).

The hardware development scene in Vancouver is getting bigger and better. We want to bring experts together with aspiring product developers in a mentorship setting, work together to collect resources, and ultimately find ways to facilitate more development in our community.

For the upcoming meeting, we'll start with a product show and tell by 3 local entrepreneurs, who will share what they learned as they went through the process of developing their product and launching their business. Then we'll discuss the potentials for emerging local startups to get on their way.

If you'd like to pitch your product, or you're seeking guidance on the challenges you've faced so far, please get in touch with the organizers.

Hope to see you there!
