Introduction to Ansible - Michael DeHann (@laserllama), CTO, Ansibleworks and creator of Ansible & Cobbler.

Ansible is a radically simple IT orchestration engine that makes your applications and systems easier to deploy. Avoid writing scripts or custom code to deploy and update your applications— automate in a language that approaches plain English, using SSH, with no agents to install on remote systems.

Attention LISA attendees - Welcome to Washington DC!  Please join us for this meetup.  We only ask that you RSVP so we have an accurate head count.

Getting here

Audax Health is located in the Georgetown waterfront building:

3000 K St. NW, Sixth Floor
Washington, DC 20007

Metro - We are about a 15 minute walk from the Foggy Bottom metro stop on the Blue and Orange line

From LISA - Although Audax is only 2.1 miles from the LISA conference hotel, but there's no good public transit connection between the two. Sharing a cab is probably the most time- and cost-effective way to attend. The walk from Woodley Park through Rock Creek Park and Georgetown would be safe (except for speeding bicyclists) and scenic ( before dark.

Parking - Our building has a parking garage ( The entrance is on the river side of K street (under Whitehurst Freeway), between Thomas Jefferson St. and 30th St. It's a flat $10 after 4PM.

Once you've parked or have arrived at the Washington Harbor complex, our building is the one on the left if you are looking towards the river. The entrance is at street level, to the left of the smaller fountain (if you see Tony & Joes or Sequoia, go up the stairs away from the river and turn right). The doors are locked but we will have someone at the front desk from 6:30 until 8, so just knock.

Here is a link to a map with the parking garage entrance and our building entrance marked:

Late? Please tweet to @devopsdc and someone will come down to badge you in.

Fantastic. It was awesome to meet the founder of the Ansible project and hear him talk about inspirations for the project and introductory usage.

Fun, and useful. Michael gave terrific presentation, and as he likes it, it was simple yet informative. I really hope to see Ansible become more popular.

The Google maps link next to the address is broken! Google Maps get's confused by the "sixth floor" and shows "3000 6th St NW" and not "3000 K Street NW".

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
