Weekend update from the FCCP Director

From: Jeff D.
Sent on: Friday, September 28, 2012 8:37 AM

Just a brief note on this weekend's events.  I want to thank the 20 FCCP members that are giving back to our community by providing photographs for CareFest 2012 tomorrow.  Your willingness to give back to the community through your photographic skills is to be applauded.  We all are looking forward to seeing your photographs.

There is still time to get involved in CareFest 2012. It only involves a few hours of your time tomorrow.  CareFest is not looking for professional results, so don't worry you or your camera isn't good enough.  Volunteer photographers are desperately needed in Safety Harbor, St. Petersburg and Pasco County. The complete details on the events happening throughout the Greater Tampa Bay area is here. Complete details with contact names and phones will be emailed after you RSVP.  If you have additional questions beyond the information at the link, please call Jeff at[masked]-2912.

The Clearwater Beach Sunset/Marina PhotoWalk will start tonight at 6:30, but with a 6000 HP twist.  The Super Boats are in town once again to thrill audiences.  We'll do the sunset walk as usual, but those that want can go with Jeff and Theresa to downtown Clearwater afterwards to photograph the boat parade and see/listen to the Atlanta Rhythm Section.  Complete details and links to RSVP are here.

Shoot the full moon rising behind Sand Key and the Sand Key Bridge Sunday morning. Yes, I know the start time of 6:45 AM is early, but the moon rise waits for no one.  We do these every month now and this is a great location to shoot from.  Please see the full description and RSVP here. Please note the change in location for the Turner St. fishing pier to the downtown Clearwater Marina.

Still time to sign up for the 5th Annual Scott Kelby World Wide PhotoWalks. We have opening throughout the Greater Tampa Bay area.  Don't miss out on this once a year event.  It all happens Saturday, October 13.  The times and locations vary and here are links to the Photo Walks that have vacancies in the Tampa area.

Tampa Photo Walk starting at University of Tampa with FCCP Member Sean Neumayer leading - 9 AM to noon

Safety Harbor Photo Walk starting at the Gazebo with Sara La Delfa leading - 9:45 to noon

Palm Harbor Photo Walk starting at John Chestnut Park with Dave Cross leading - 4 PM to 7 PM

Clearwater Beach Photo Walk starting at Pier 60 with Luigi Barbano leading - 5 PM to 8 PM

Downtown Tampa Photo Walk starting at Curtis Hixon Park with leader Chip Weiner - 4:45 PM to 8 PM

Sign up now and join the fun!

That's all folks!  Go out and make some photographs!
