Sorry folks, schedule conflict have to cancel.
I found a few great taco trucks in ma 'hood that I'd like to share with you. Prices are CHEAP but the quality is pretty high and they put out some pretty damn good Mexican food. Not just tacos, I tried their mulitas which was awesome. What made it so good is because they hand make their own tortillas and I requested some sauteed onions and jalapenos which he cheerfully added to my order at no extra charge! Decent condiment table with about 8-10 different salsas and veggie ingredients like onions, radishes, cilantro, tomato and green/red salsa.
A mulita is sorta like an open face quesadilla with another tortilla on top. I ordered a carne asada mulita and in addition to the beef, there was avocado, onion and melted cheese. So good when I added the sauteed onions/jalapenos he added to my order. $3.50. Tacos $1.25 Burritos $5. So, you'll be filled up for maybe $5 and definitely less than $10.
They sell Jarritos and other ice cold soft drinks, or maybe byob a beer if you feel like being a rogue... Some trucks make their own Aqua Frescas (not this first place).
This may be destined to become a monthly repeating event but each month we might visit a different truck, or return to one of our favorites. No limit to member signups so this could turn into impromptu street parties with our group!
Hey we got some decent taco trucks on the mean streets of Hollywood... I don't need to go all the way to Boyle Heights for some kickass Mexican street food!
This is NOT a crawl. Each month we will just visit one truck per night and we can sample and share various dishes such as sopes, huraches or mulitas that maybe you've never tried before.
Cash only. No biggie if you are late but many trucks don't arrive at their location until 8pm, so these events will usually start no earlier than 8pm.
This is a good event for Newbie Members!
