Overview

Quickbooks for small business owners! We’ll go over the basics of using quickbooks for your business needs.

This course is designed for the basic business user. If you have a little experience, or none at all, come join us and learn what you’ll need to do to keep your business books flowing smoothly.

There is an additional quickbooks class, “Preparing for Tax Reporting”, that pairs incredibly well with this course. Each of these classes can be taken separately or you can take both together, depending on what your needs are.

What will you learn?

  • Invoicing / Customer data entry
  • Writing checks / Inventory / Vendor data entry
  • Setting up your Item list and Chart of Accounts
  • Reconciling accounts

How to Prepare?

Students will need to bring their own computer, and if they have Quicken or Quickbooks, should have the software loaded onto their computer. (Those wishing to purchase a student-price version from the instructor or download the free, trial Online version should come at least 30 minutes early to install the software.)

About the Instructor

Class will be led by Michele-Mira Livingston, who has 20 years in the software industry with business and accounting products. Michele currently runs a small bookkeeping business for clients, using QuickBooks.
