Meet up & Hike From Snow Creek To Fuller Ridge, to San Jacinto Peak, to PS Tram

This is an opportunity to Hike from Snow Creek Village, Palm Springs to the Summit of San Jacinto and on to the PS Tram for the return.

We will meet at the PS Visitor center to set up a car shuttle to Snow Creek Village. Snow Creek Village is north of the visitor center and lays at the end of Snow Creek Road which is off of Hwy 111.

Distance: This section of trail is The PCT as it winds down out of the San Jacinto Forest to our starting point on the desert floor. The Distance is approximately 29 miles in length with desert and mountain views. As we pass through the desert and mountains it provides beautiful views along the way. Elevation gain is approximately 10,000 feet. To be considered for this hike you must answer the two questions at time of RSVP.

There will be no more than 8 hikers participating in this hike. (1) one has already signed up, leaving space for (7) seven additional hikers.

Meeting time is 3:00 a.m. at PS Visitor Center arrange the shuttle. We will then Start this hike at 3:45 am. All attendees must particiapte in the shuttle process.

Further information will be provided before hike day if required.

Please be advised, this is a difficult hike requiring stamina and prior conditioning. You must answer the two questions at time of RSVP to be considered for this hike. This hike is long and scenic, and will begin in the nightime hours and end in the night time hours.

Time to complete this hike is estimated to be 14 hours.

This hike will be an ADVANCED hike for you, if you hike often with some elevation gains.
This hike will NOT be a hike for you, if you are an occasional hiker. Please do not sign up.

Please bring at least 5 (or more as required) litres of water and other electrolytes replacements which includes snacks of your choice. Water may not be available from streams or other sources so be advised to pack enough for your needs. If you are signing up for this hike, I'm sure your know your replenishment needs, so plan them accordingly.

I will have the hiking permits only. As stated this hike will be crossing the desert floor up the PCT into the San Jacinto Mountains. Please bring appropriate clothing.

Please do not sign up; if you are not comfortable with what you are doing, unwilling to take that risk, or if you think you don’t have the needed skills for the event. You are NOT participating to an event organized by trained outdoors people or medical professionals. No one is trained or paid to watch after your safety. You will be agreeing to take responsibility for yourself, your actions and not to hold organizer/assistant organizer/group leader, participants, cooks, carpoolers or anyone liable but yourself by signing and/or showing up for this event. You further agree to pay for any possible medical or legal cost involving an injury to yourself, and request your heirs to respect your agreed waiver in case of an injury or even death due to any reason during this event, by signing up or showing up for this event. Please also note that I may exclude or include anyone at my own discretion.
