Introduction to mountain running and training for C2C2C the following Sat. My plan is to go uphill for three hours then back down for two. Or about to the upper emergency box, something like that. This will be a fast push with running/jogging on some uphill, then turn around and jog back down. This will be a good trial run for those that want to experiment and see how much they will enjoy this sort of thing. I will go very light, 100 oz electrolyte, sandwich, maybe a few snacks. Shorts, trail running shoes and minimal clothing for temp. Since this will be a up and back, we can bunch up at the turnaround point or pick people up as we descend. A perfect opportunity to strengthen your downhill muscles. Come along and experiment with something new, and see what Mt. running is all about, it may be an entirely new sport for you. Or,,,,it could convince you this is stupid and it hurts.
