The Hollywood Sign is in Griffith Park above Los Angeles.
The trail will be about 16 miles as the crow flies...
Allow for about 6 hours 'n change...
It is NOT for absolute beginners.
There are a lot of paths to choose from... So, the herd should stay together; as much as possible...
Unless you know how to follow the yellow brick road & choose the right paths...
There will be no:
• Having your nose wiped for you.
• Coddling
• Cooing
• Hand holding ( unless you { you in the 3rd person } are a couple, plan to be a couple; etc...)
A couple of what has yet to be determined...
Read the complete write up...
Most, is not all, of your questions can be answered here.
If it rains... dust storm, water spout, etc... the deal is off.
Also, if you show bad form by signing up for two dozen different trails on the same day & time; only to pick the best one that suits you, while taking limited space away from someone who really wants to go: Don't waste my time or yours by signing up.
There may be sudden and frequent stops for print making along the way...
Wear comfortable clothing (come in costume, if you like) and a hat.
Without cloud cover, there isn't much shade.
Tennis or good trail shoes will be fine for this pilgrimage.
Also, bring 3-4 quarts of water and something to chew on...
CHEW TOYS:
Peanut Butter Cups or See's Chocolate See Gars are more than acceptable to bring and chew on !!!
Do not chew on your nails or anyone else's for that matter. It is considered bad form & should be avoided.
Also, it is not recommended to chew on or eat one's own hat or anyone else's for that matter (see nail description above).
Do not sink your fangs into anyone's' neck.
We'll stop at Mt. Hollywood where there is a nice view over looking the Griffith Observatory.

From there, we will continue on to Mt. Lee & the Hollywood Sign.
After, we will walk down the Easter Trail to the chamber of commerce turn out for prints & a full view of the sign.
From the sign vantage point; we'll go to the Bat Cave that was used in the original Batman Series.
After the Bat Cave, we will press on to the observatory for a brief visit.
Leave your 8 track players at home.
There will be plenty to hear in the surrounding area... work the crowd and talk to others in the group...
I will hear your confession, as necessary...
However, you will have only about 10 minutes to complain about work, politics & current affairs... then that's it.
Do NOT push selling soap or real estate on the group.
