First time ever posted CLASS 3 HIKE IN OC! !

E.G.: 4,600' +-

MEETING SPOT: MAPLE SPRINGS (SILVERADO CANYON) TRAIL HEAD AT 7:30 AM. Then we will shuttle to Black Star Canyon Trail Head.

THIS HIKE REPLACES THE ORIGINALLY SCHEDULED "IRON BALDY TRAVERSE" AND IT IS FIRST TIME EVER POSTED IN THIS FORMAT.

This is an advanced shuttle hike. Participants will be allowed from wait list.

Hike will start at 7:30 AM and will be finished by 5 PM. We will keep up a pretty good pace.

Hike starts out on a dirt road for about a mile. Then we will be boulder hoping and and climbing for the next 2-3 miles. There are steep sections but does not have big exposures, so any good hiker with good balance can overcome those obstacles. Some of these obstacles may even be considered class 4. When I did it, I wasn't really looking to rate it but was just having fun. This is more like a playground for kids at heart. Getting over some of the obstacles may feel like you are in the Wonderland of Rock in Joshua Tree.

Bonus for this hike will be the one of the prettiest waterfall in Southern California, if we have some good water flow.
