Details

The trip schedule has changed from Thursday to Friday and from Saline Valley to Death Valley.

This is an advanced, all off the trails event, involving camping, hiking, scrambling and canyoneering. We will be aiming to go through canyons that have never been seen or traveled by others. Each hike will involve steep elevation gains in short distances, then we will rappel into the canyons.

A harness, ATC and a helmet is required. Leather gloves are recommended. 4WD or high clearance vehicles needed to get this location.

We will be going to some of the wildest parts of DV, You may also be required to carry some gears that is going to be shared, such as ropes or climbing equipment.

Most of the hikes will be class 2 and 3 and a very little chance of 4 but we will have the gear for any conditions. Also, canyoneering involves use of unrecoverable materials and wear and tear on equipment. This trip will be planned together with a friend of mine, Scott Swaney. I will collect $10 from each person to be given to my friend since we will be using mostly his equipment and you don't have to buy or bring anything. (This is voluntary and only for the cost of materials, goes toward the equipment-you don't have to pay if you wish not to.).

Further details and carpool arrangements will be provided closer to the event day. I will add people from the wait-list for this hike. If I haven't hiked with you before, please send me a short message with your experience.
