We are the premier Baltimore Hiking group with over 9,000 members.
This group is for all those who are dedicated to hiking, biking, camping, and any other fun outdoor activity in and around Baltimore whether in the natural areas or urban settings. We offer a range of activities at different times and locations, and encourage all members to make suggestions or plan and lead events.

Hike Antietam Battlefield! - 8 Moderate Miles
Antietam Battlefield Visitors Center, 5831 Dunker Church Road, Sharpsburgh, MD, USAntietam is a moderate 8 mile hike around this sacred battle field. We travel up rolling fields, along a stream, and among gorgeous farmlands in addition to seeing various monuments along the way.
This is approximately a 3 - 4 hour hike and it takes 90 minutes to get to Antietam from Baltimore. Please plan accordingly; we step off at 1030 sharp.
There is a $6 charge for cars to park at the visitors center. Please meet at flagpole at visitors center. Please bring plenty of water, wear comfortable shoes and bring some snacks. We will stop along the stream to eat our snacks. :)
Optional Lunch: Benders Public House and Eatery located at 111 Main Street in Sharpsburg. Benders is near Antietam and on your way home.

The Bloodiest One Day Battle in American History
23,000 soldiers were killed, wounded or missing after twelve hours of savage combat on September 17, 1862. The Battle of Antietam ended the Confederate Army of Northern Virginia's first invasion into the North and led to Abraham Lincoln's issuance of the preliminary Emancipation Proclamation.

Patapsco Woodstock Trail & Inn: moderate 6 - 7 miles
The Woodstock Inn, 1415 Woodstock Road, Woodstock, MD, USHike along the Patapsco River and enjoy scenic views through a nice valley with rolling hills. A few hills to climb that are not too steep. A pleasant hike that is rated as moderate.
Optional: Woodstock Inn after hike. Half Price Burgers !!!
Directions: Woodstock Inn, 1415 Woodstock Rd, Woodstock MD 21163.
Location near Rt 70 and Marriotsville Rd and close to Ellicott City. Meet in the parking lot across from the Woodstock Inn. Park in the lot across from Woodstock Inn or on the side of the road.
