We are the premier Baltimore Hiking group with over 9,000 members.
This group is for all those who are dedicated to hiking, biking, camping, and any other fun outdoor activity in and around Baltimore whether in the natural areas or urban settings. We offer a range of activities at different times and locations, and encourage all members to make suggestions or plan and lead events.

Harper's Ferry Louden Heights & HF Brewery: Strenuous 8.5 Miles
Harpers Ferry Visitor Center, 171 Shoreline Dr, Harpers Ferry, WV, USThe climb to the top of Louden Heights is very steep, so there will be several stops along the way. The overlook is scenic with views of Harper's Ferry and the Potomac River.
Directions to Harper's Ferry from Baltimore: 70 West to 340 South. Follow 340 from MD to Vir to W Vir. After crossing the Shenandoah River, take first Right at Shenandoah St and an immediate Right at Shoreline Dr. Follow to the Visitor Center Parking Lot. Note: There is a $20 Fee.
Dogs Allowed.
Bring plenty of water and a lunch/snack for the overlook.
This is a Strenuous Hike!

Note: This is a strenuous hike with a long steep climb to the top. Multiple stops during the climb. You are rewarded with one of the best views in the local area.
