At least once a month at HoustonPhotowalks.com, we drum up some crazy idea for a place to photograph and practice our photo techniques. We're a fun bunch, no pressure, no stress. Come ready to learn and share what you know among other photographers.

This group is perfect for new camera owners, novice hobby photographers, and old dogs that have been shooting photos for a long time.
Our group has 3 main principles that guide our way:
• Fun and Safe (we want you to have a great time, and not die).
• Honor the amateur photography clubs that came before us. Their enthusiastic interest in photography paved the way for the technology evolution that allows us to capture light today.
• Education, of ourselves, each other and the community. We learn our best techniques from each other, and we teach the community that photographers aren't jerks, criminals or terrorists.

EVENT DESCRIPTION
Despite the name, Mony’s offers more than pizza. Its breakfast menu includes pancakes, French toast, omelettes, breakfast croissants, and even breakfast pizza. We’ll enjoy a casual meal together and catch up before getting our cameras out at the museum.

- Please arrive at 9 a.m. and order so we have time to get to the museum at 10am.
- We’ll aim to finish by 9:45 a.m. to reach the museum before our 10 a.m. introduction.
- The museum is approximately a 10-minute walk or 2-minute drive away. Allow additional time if you’ll need to park.

There's onsite parking, but be sure and check posted parking signs for fees, time limits, and customer-only restrictions.

Photowalk: Houston Fire Museum and Historic Station No. 7

We visited before its renovations, and now we’re heading back to photograph the restored building and explore Houston’s firefighting history. EVENT DESCRIPTION
Housed in historic Fire Station No. 7, built in 1899, the museum offers opportunities to photograph architectural details and historic firefighting equipment.
Museum staff will welcome us with an introduction, then we’ll explore and photograph at our own pace. Exhibits are currently limited to highlight the restored building, so the architecture itself will be part of our photography focus.All skill levels and camera types are welcome. Come explore what has changed since our last visit and enjoy a morning of photography with the group!

- Paid metered parking is available along Milam Street.
- A paid parking lot is available at the corner of McGowen and Milam.
- The museum does not have its own parking facility. Allow time to park and walk to the entrance.

- A charged battery and room on your memory card.

It's been a while since we visited the Glenwood Cemetery and it was one of our most popular events. Time for another trip!
THIS IS A 20 LIMIT PERSON WALK FOR PHOTOGRAPHERS ONLY SO SIGN UP EARLY SO YOU DON'T MISS OUT.Glenwood Cemetery is located at 2525 Washington Ave. on the northern bank of Buffalo Bayou. Parts of the property afford views of the downtown Houston skyline, of Memorial Drive, and of Allen Parkway.
ENTRANCE INFORMATION
The entrance to Glenwood Cemetery is on Washington Avenue between Studemont and Sawyer Street. GATES WILL NOT OPEN TILL 7:00 AM.

PLEASE IF YOU ARRIVE EARLY DO NOT WANDER THE GROUNDS UNTIL WE HAVE MEETUP AND YOU ARE CHECKED IN.
Once inside follow the signs and let's meet by the office for a quick get together and go over some basic information for our time on the property. Please park near the office. Do not block streets and access to burial sites.NOTE

There are no public restrooms on the property.WHAT TO BRING
For wide shots of downtown, bring your wide angle lens. For shots around the cemetery bring your walking zoom lens, tripods are allowed. There is very little covered area, so if there appears to be any rain in the forecast, bring your all-weather gear. REMEMBER THIS IS A RAIN OR SHINE EVENT.
