Humanist Monthly Program: Winning at Life Using Science, Compassion, and Reason

Details

How do you win at life and get what you want? Many people struggle with reaching their goals in life, whether in their jobs, relationships, health, or other important life areas. It can be especially difficult to do so for humanists who do not conform to mainstream faith system and do not belong to traditional congregations. However, we as humanists have the awesome freedom of being liberated from traditional norms and pathways. We can thus use the latest scientific research to guide our ability to achieve our goals and win at life, by managing intentionally the only things in life that we truly have control over: our feelings and thoughts, our compassion and reason. Come listen to Dr. Gleb Tsipursky, a scholar and popularizer of science-based strategies to manage our feelings and thoughts, discuss how to use such techniques to win at life!

Gleb Tsipursky, PhD, is the Co-Founder and President of Intentional Insights (www.intentionalinsights.org (http://www.intentionalinsights.org/)), a nonprofit that empowers reason-oriented people to refine and reach their goals through providing research-based content about improving thinking, feeling, and behavior patterns. He is also a tenure-track professor at Ohio State and a member of the Decision Sciences Collaborative and History Department. A long-time member of HCCO, he is proud to be a co-host of HCCO's Rationality meetup and is a monthly donor to HCCO. Get in touch with him at gleb@intentionalinsights.org
