To help families and potential supporters learn more about Camp Quest West, they are hosting a “Camp Quest Afternoon” in Sunnyvale, CA on the first weekend of April.
This fun, free event is designed for the entire family!
Please join other families and supporters on Sunday, April 21, starting at 1:30 PM, with special activities from 2:00 - 3:30 for everyone to enjoy.
What to Expect
http://photos1.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/8/7/c/a/event_216574762.jpegWeather permitting, they'll have inside and outside activities including an opportunity for kids to play games, learn about science and Humanism, and make some new friends.
Parents will learn about Camp Quest West — their focus on safety and how they mix traditional outside camp with science and Humanism. Parents will also have a chance to meet some of their past and future counselors, and other families that are considering sending children.
For supporters interested in furthering Camp Quest West, they'll be talking about their donation-based campership program, their capital campaign, and their plans for the future. They'll also be happy to share their Business Plan and budget with anyone who is interested.
Other Details
Try to arrive between 1:30 and 1:45 for a meet-and-greet with other families and our counselors. Then at 2:00, we have special activities planned for everyone to enjoy! We expect the entire program to wrap up at 3:30 PM.
Light refreshments and snacks will be served.
Can't make this event? We have other Afternoons planned (http://west.campquest.org/camp-afternoons/) for different weekends and locations.
About Camp Quest West
http://photos2.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/8/8/7/4/event_216574932.jpegCamp Quest is a week-long, stay-away camp program for children ages 8-17, and locations in Northern and Southern California.
It's designed for children from non-religious families, and they blend world-class science and critical-thinking games with the traditional all-American outdoor camp experience.
