Dr. Greg Wilson, NREL

Unsubsidized solar photovoltaics is fast becoming the cheapest electricity source but at present it only provides three percent of the world’s energy needs.

NREL’s Greg Wilson, has long been investigating how we can ramp up solar to get near the projected terawatt demand. He’ll illustrate his ‘big picture’ perspective with examples about issues with policy, innovation, manufacturing, and market deployment.

Dr. Gregory M. Wilson is co-director of the National Center for Photovoltaics (NCPV) at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) in Golden, Colorado.
