What we’re about
Finally, a meetup for jazz musicians and jazz enthusiasts in Detroit and surrounding areas!
Some other forms of music may be represented here also (classical, some blues, and some latin-based music) but this group is designed mainly for jazzers.
Certain charities and/or charitable events may be represented here also, if they collaborate with some jazz group or groups.

This concert encapsulates Lulu’s “life soundtrack” – the music that has accompanied her for as long as she can remember. From the walls in her childhood home reverberating the sounds of bluesy soul and Senegalese and Cameroonian music, to pop/soft rock accompanying her through DC’s junior high and high school halls, to jazz standards and alternative Neo-soul shaking the walls of her Harlem apartments, this concert will breathe warm nostalgia into the space. The Carr Center Performance Studio
