Christos Chatzikomnitsas

Christos has been working with First Derivatives for 2 years as a kdb+ consultant. He is involved in projects with major investment Banks in trading applications. In his current role as a kdb+ developer he is responsible for development and maintenance of Market Database of a Major Investment Bank including data mapping, manipulation and optimization. Christos has a background on Computer Science. He holds a BSc in Telecommunications and CS, and an MSc in Computer Science.

This talk will include how kdb+ is expanding into other markets outside of the Financial Trading arena in this instance Pharma, and why it is well placed to take advantage of IoT and Sensor Data. It will also discuss how these technologies can be used in Sensor Analytics, Telco etc.
