Hike to Morton Peak Fire Lookout - Bring a snack to share

Lets get a little morning workout in so we can get on with our day. This is an almost six-mile round trip with about a 1,200 foot elevation gain. Our destination is Morton Peak Fire Lookout, on Highway 38 between Yucaipa and Forest Falls, where we will have incredible views of Yucaipa and Redlands and beyond to the west and of Forest Falls, San Bernardino Peak and the San Gorgonio range to the east.

The first mile is the steepest, then it is a series of gradual switchbacks to the top.

There is a picnic table at the top, so bring a snack to share!
