Full-Stack JavaScript Intro: Build a Real-Time Interactive Web App, Part 2 of 2
Details
Sign-up form: https://goo.gl/forms/v4Tbx17Yu5nR0L0K3
This is part 2 of our two-part workshop where we'll make a collaborative drawing app as a fun first introduction to full-stack JavaScript with NodeJS (https://nodejs.org/en/) and SocketIO (http://socket.io/), and then we'll also publish our apps online with GitHub (https://github.com/) and Heroku (https://dashboard.heroku.com/)!
Don't worry if you've never heard of these things -- we'll walk you through each step. :) But definitely read below for information on prerequisites.
This workshop is free, but please consider making a $5 cash donation to support us. Thanks!

Is this workshop the right level for me?
• This workshop is aimed at beginners who have had a little bit of previous exposure to coding, who want to be challenged, but in a fun way! :)
• Bare minimum: you should be very comfortable with: 1) using a text editor like Sublime 2 or Atom or similar, 2) downloading and installing new software, 3) navigating between multiple tabs in your web browser, and 4)most importantly, be comfortable with feeling slightly confused and/or frustrated while you're learning.
• This might be too easy for you if you've already built any substantial apps with JavaScript or have worked with NodeJS, SocketIO or WebSocket stuff before.
• Have other questions? Just ask! Reach out to me (Liz Krane) on Meetup or through our Slack chatroom (http://learntocodela.herokuapp.com/).

How to get a spot in the workshop:
Join the waiting list and fill out this sign-up form: https://goo.gl/forms/v4Tbx17Yu5nR0L0K3
Seating is limited, so priority goes to: 1) those who can attend BOTH workshop dates, and 2) those with beginner-level knowledge of JavaScript (but not too much). Aside from that we will give spots on a rolling basis, first-come first-served.
