Wow, this is going to be amazing show! In addition to Saul Sierra's core group for the night (consisting of Saul on bass, plus Marco Diaz on piano, Charlie Gurke on sax, and Julio Perez and Carlos Caro on percussion), there will be guest artists John Santos, Jackie Rago, Edgardo Cambon, Anthony Blea, Braulio Barrera, Brian Rice, Manuel Constancio, Arwen Lawrence, Jorge Liceaga on percussion and other instruments. What an incredible roster of musicians!
This concert will feature the premiere of “Caminos” a Pan-American Jazz suite in eight parts, written and arranged by Saul Sierra.
WHERE: Sound Room, in uptown Oakland (on Broadway, between 30th and 31st Streets)
EVENT COST: About $29 (with Eventbrite service fee) for concert tickets when bought online. BUY YOUR OWN TICKETS.
(Added note about costs: Lately, I've been cutting attendees at these higher-priced shows a break on my usual request for $1.00 donations to offset my Meetup fees, but they really do help. Meetup charges me $180.00 per year just to keep the Live Jazz & Blues group going!)
***IMPORTANT *** The Sound Room is doing ASSIGNED SEATING for this show. You MUST select a table number and seat number when you buy your ticket online! I have already bought my ticket, at TABLE ELEVEN. Please buy your ticket for a seat at that table, or at an adjoining table. You can see the table & seat numbers by clicking on the Sound Room's seating chart on the ticket-purchase web page.
SEATING: Most tables at the Sound Room are set up for a maximum of four people. After you buy your ticket, it's a good idea to post a Comment here on the Meetup Event Page, so other Meetup members know where you're seated and can try to buy seats near you.
