I am hooked to board games. Thank you fellow players who taught me games like the medieval and pre historic carcassonne games, pandemic, race to adventure and RA. Had more practice on Resistance game. Newbie player in most game but willing to learn. Be patient with me please if I keep asking questions.

Great day. Ed pulled off an unlikely last minute Elder Sign. Eyes down, Augustus is Latin for Bingo. Jan blew up my University in Citadels and denied me the win :( We played TTR: Europe wrong but it was actually quite good for the two actions a turn rule. Munchkin happened to me. Never score six more points than everyone else in the third round in Small World, the flood of kobolds did for me. Spies all the way in The Resistance, nice hiding in plain sight from Csilla. Speed Ra to finish off and some of us need a lot more practice before Eastbourne.

NO MORE RESISTANCE!
*ahem* I mean, as part of my brand new campaign to remove Resistance from the list of games people play I plan to bring the old Knizia Lord of the Rings co-op game. It is a very nice game (until we all die from corruption and Middle Earth is lost to Sauron of course).
Ghost Stories -which is very good co-op game where you can bring dead players back to life, isn't that nice.
Race for the Galaxy -which has no direct conflict...
Thebes -with no direct conflict... and Caylus Magna Carta for a lightweight euro-ey style game.
No conflict, mmmkay?

I am a newbie LOB. What game is best for me to get myself into? I will take the challenge. Never played computer game or PSP or PS3. Past years just worked and worked. So now I am going to give myself a chance to get into playing board game. Good way to relax after a long week working nonstop. Any suggestions.

I'd be happy to run some taster games!
Dominion - Be a king, use your peasants, buy land!
Pandemic - Work together to clean up the world of diseases
Alhambra - Make a better walled garden than your Moorish Neighbours
Mouri - Find lots of cool islands in the Pacific
I'll see if I can think of some more quick begginer friendly games to bring along!
